A section of elastic webbing sits between the handle and the clip, so when the dog lunges the leash stretches instead of transmitting the whole jolt straight into your shoulder.
Heavy nylon webbing with a bungee section, sizes S through L by width, six colours. Metal snap hook and a padded grip.
Who this is for
Big dogs that are still learning, and anyone who has been jarred by a sudden lunge at a squirrel. The stretch takes the peak out of the impact for both ends of the leash.
It is worth being clear about what it does not do. Because there is give in the line, the dog gets slightly less precise feedback about where the end of the leash is, which makes a bungee a poor choice for teaching loose leash walking. Use it for walks you are not actively training on, and a fixed-length leash for the sessions where you are.
Pairs with the No-Pull Training Harness. Never use a bungee leash with a slip or choke collar.
