Built for dogs that destroy ordinary rope toys in an afternoon. Tight braid with a reinforced core, sized for large breeds with a real grip.
Four length and colour options, weather-resistant, intended for outdoor use rather than the living room floor.
Where it fits in training
Reward, not entertainment. Tug is one of the strongest reinforcers available for a dog with drive, and it is far better suited to outdoor sessions than food, which gets dropped in long grass and forgotten.
The handling rules are the same as any tug. Keep it low, let the dog brace properly, teach a reliable out, and end the game while the dog still wants more.
Checking it
Look at the braid every few weeks. Once a rope toy starts shedding long strands, retire it. Swallowed rope fibre causes real problems and it is not worth the vet bill to squeeze another month out of a cheap toy.
Pairs with the Recall Kit.
