Wide Webbing Long Line — 1.8m to 20m, 2cm & 2.5cm
Flat webbing rather than round rope, which changes how a long line behaves on the ground. Webbing lies flat and tangles less in long grass. Rope runs through your hands more smoothly but knots more readily.
Polypropylene webbing in 2cm or 2.5cm width, from 1.8m up to 20m, with a titanium alloy snap hook. Several colours.
1.8m is a standard walking leash, not a long line. 10m is the working length for most recall training. 15m and 20m suit open fields and tracking work where you want the dog well ahead of you.
Wear gloves the first few times. A long line running out through a bare hand at speed will take skin off, and that is true of every long line ever made, not just this one. Never tie it to yourself, and clip it to a harness rather than a collar so the dog cannot hit the end of it neck-first.
