The widest load-spreading harness in the range. Where a thin-strap harness concentrates pressure along two lines across the chest, this one distributes it over a padded panel front and back.

Nylon over dense foam padding, sizes S through XL, three colours. Steel D-ring on the back, adjustable at four points, with a grab handle across the shoulders.

When the wider panel is worth it

Strong dogs that lean into a harness, dogs with short coats where thin straps rub, and any dog you walk for an hour or more at a time. The trade-off is warmth. This is a cooler-weather harness for a thick-coated dog and a year-round one for a short-coated one.

Fitting a deep-chested dog

Boxers, greyhounds and similar builds are usually between sizes. Measure girth just behind the front legs, take the larger size, then bring it in on the adjusters. A harness that fits the ribcage but gapes at the shoulders will twist as the dog moves.
